UK Glastonbury is to today re-open registration for tickets to this year's festival after the event did not sell out in the first two days of ticket sales.Organiser Michael Eavis blamed the slower than average sales due to terrible weather in previous years, while others have criticised the choice of headline acts most notably that of US rapper Jay-Z who will headline the Saturday night of the festival. Other headliners are Kings of Leon and The Verve.

Tickets went on-sale on Sunday morning and 100,000 had been sold by Sunday afternoon out of a total of 137,500.

In previous years, all tickets for the festival have been sold within a couple of hours. Organiser Emily Eavis says they are giving people who wanted to go another chance to register. She said: "We're having a massive influx of people saying they didn't register. So we're going to re-open registration and allow the extra people who want to come to do so."

The festival takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from 27-29 June. Registration will re-open at 4pm today. Festival-goers will need to submit basic personal details and a passport quality photo. Once their application has been accepted they will be sent a confirmation email with a link enabling them to buy tickets immediately.

Ticket prices for a weekend ticket are £155, plus £5 booking fee per ticket and £4 post and packaging per order.

Other acts playing at the festival include Hot Chip, Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty and music legends Leonard Cohen, Sex Pistols and Neil Diamond.

The rest of the line-up will be announced on 1 May.
