A desperate mother sent an Internet message to the vandals who terrorized her family a few minutes before two of her three children died in an arson attack on her house. Fiona Adams was only able to save her baby of eight months, reports Dailymail.com.

Although she tried to rescue her son Cayden, 2 years, and daughter Niamh, 5, but could not advance through the smoke and flames and they died.

The police were at the home of Fiona less than an hour earlier due to reports of threats made by vandals.

The police were at the home of Fiona less than an hour early due to reports that vandals had threatened. Shortly after the police left, Fiona posted a message on Facebook which said: "You can break the windows and the car, but you won't get to me and my children." Less than 45 minutes later the home became an inferno of fire.

Police reported that they have been to the address of Buxton, in Derbyshire, several times in the last three years due to incidents of domestic violence. According to police, the night of the fire, Fiona called police to complain about noise in the garden. Some furniture was broken but nothing was found.

Now, police are investigating whether there is any connection between the first call and the fire. A police spokesman stated that "we do not know the cause of the fire at the moment, but we are treating it as suspicious because, at first glance, there is no apparent accidental cause"

A 17 year old boy was arrested in connection with the incident before the fire, but has been released. At the time of the fire, the children's father, James Maynard, had gone to the pool after finishing his shift.

A relative of Fiona explained that she "jumped out the window with her baby and tried to return and get her other two children but could not reach them." A friend says that "whoever has done this deserves to be hung," adding that "children were charming, bright, happy and very dear. I heard that someone was harassing Fiona and throwing things at home." Apparently, "her brother-in-law tried to pull the door down to enter the house and help. It's horrible."
